Industrial Wet Drum Magnetic Separator Application

The Wet Drum Magnetic Separator is an  iron removal equipment used for wet separation of magnetite, hematite, ilmenite, and other ferromagnetic materials, as well as iron removal from quartz sand, non-metallic minerals, coal, construction materials, slag, and IBA. It is suitable for mineral processing, material purification, and recycling lines.

Drum Type Wet Magnetic Separator Principle

1. Water-mixed material enters the magnetic drum separation zone, where the magnetic field attracts ferromagnetic particles onto the rotating drum surface.

2. As the drum rotates, the captured magnetic material is carried out of the slurry and moved toward the magnetic concentrate discharge area, while non-magnetic material flows away with the water. 

3. Spray water then helps release the magnetic concentrate from the drum into the collection area.

The wet drum magnetic separator adopts the principle of magnetic blocks to absorb iron materials for separation.

Wet Drum Magnetic Separator for IBA Sorting

In IBA wet sorting plants, the Wet Drum Magnetic Separator is used to recover ferrous materials from water-mixed bottom ash. The wet separation process helps remove iron from the ash stream before subsequent non-ferrous metal recovery and further material processing.
