Application

The Suspended Electromagnetic Overband Separator is designed for automatic iron removal from mixed materials, widely used in IBA processing, electric power treatment, slag recycling, mining, coal handling, aggregate production, and other material processing lines.

Working Principle


The electromagnetic system generates a strong magnetic field to attract ferrous materials from the conveyed material. The captured iron is automatically discharged to the non-magnetic area by the moving belt and achieving efficient iron removal and protecting downstream equipment.

Structure

The self-discharging Electromagnetic Overband Separator consists of:


  • Electromagnetic system

  • Separator body

  • Moving belt and track

  • Driving and driven rollers

  • Motor and reducer

  • Electric control cabinet


The electromagnetic system generates the magnetic field, while the belt and drive system transport the captured ferrous materials to the discharge area.

Installation & Operation

The separator is normally suspended above the conveyor belt. The installation height can be adjusted according to the material layer and conveyor conditions.

For incineration bottom ash(IBA) and slag processing lines, it can be positioned at the front section of the conveyor to remove large ferrous objects before downstream crushing, wet sorting, or non-ferrous metal separation.
